Yesterday, the North Port Police Department, along with members of the Sarasota County Sheriff's Iffice, Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, Venice Police Department, FDLE and the FBI conducted a search in the area that Denise Amber Lee's body was found. As per the media release from the NPPD, the purpose of the search was to look for any evidence related to the crime (ie...I would guess they're looking for the gun, which has still not been found). As Nathan Lee puts it (and the reporter in the story uses the same phrase) they're "dotting their I's and crossing their T's". Personally, I hope they find what they're looking for. I think they already have more than enough evidence to convict Michael King, but the more, the better.
I held out for video from the Herald Tribune, as they tend to have the best coverage. Plus I just love their reporter, Bruce Asbury. He tends to tell it like it is.
